Blackberry Peach Cobbler on Food Porn Daily

Good day, my friends.  I am so very excited that my photo of  Blackberry Peach Cobbler is featured today on Food Porn Daily!  I am very excited!

The picture is just a visual of a cobbler that was so incredible it was devoured in record time.  No joke.

I don’t photograph my food because I want you to think I make these gorgeous renditions of traditional dinners ans desserts.  I don’t want to show off and I am not looking for sponsors either, although if someone with a heart for the community and a good product asks me I may consider it.

I cook, I bake and I get fearless in the kitchen because making food and sharing it creates a close bond and a common interest among us when we come together.  Even over the internet if you can’t hold a fresh cup of coffee or tea and enjoy this cobbler right from my very own oven this is the next best thing.

I don’t style my food in a very fancy way and I am terrible at staging a shot, but I am a damn good cook and I bake things that would make your eyes wide begging me for more.

Often I don’t use recipes because I know how to make things I just make it the way I want it to taste.  Improv, creativity and a desire to grow fuel my efforts and the people that have taken interest in my work have grown as well.

You see, when people spend time with me in the kitchen or even talk about something I made they often go back to their own kitchens and make something.  Anything.  It inspires them.  Then in turn they share their creations with the people around them and the beautiful cycle continues.

It’s not always a beautiful success, as you know.  There have been late nights with tears and a full garbage bag with the contents of what I had worked on all night being a sore subject.  Yes, I learned from that.  And my family learns from it too and they all LOVE to make dinners and desserts for me waiting anxiously for my critique.

The fact is, their food is awesome.  If they ask me I critique their method and the process as they prepare and once we sit down for dinner, it’s time to shower them with complements and enjoy their hard work.  Together.

The first time I ever baked with my daughter she was two years old and had her first real difficult day (behavior wise) and it was a challenge to be patient that day and adding baking to the mix some might call plum crazy!  But I love that day because she saw with her big bright eyes the rewards of baking.

I want to thank you for taking the time to come here and visit me today.  Head over to Facebook and like our page and tell me what you’ve made!  Remember, sometimes simple=better.

I’m pretty excited.  And I hope you are having a good day!
