Day Lilies: Edible Flowers
Guess what! I got my first lesson in edible flowers.
If you’ve been on the edible-flower-bandwagon and you think I’m late to the party that’s fine. Better late than not showing up at all!
A dear friend of mine has oodles of these flowers and the petals are tender almost like butter lettuce with a barely detectable flavor. Such a delicate flavor makes it a beautiful addition to your summer salads.
Make sure you do your homework before you go eating flowers. These day lilies were fun, not so much delicious as exiting to try something new!
What’s your favorite edible flower?
